Simple and quick fritters. Makes a great accompaniment to simple dal rice.

Kala Masala / Garam Masala
2 tbsp, chopped
Mix all the ingredients in the gram flour, and using little water at a time, make it into a thick batter.
Cut the Brinjal into 1 cm thickness lengthwise or circular.
Heat a non stick pan.
Poke the brinjal slices with a fork, roll it in the batter and grill it on a medium flame using as little oil as possible.
Tastes best with some coconut - peanut chutney, Ketchup.
Goes very well as an accompaniment to any dal rice!
