INGREDIENTS Split Moong Dal Green Chilli Paste Ginger Paste Salt Pepper Coriander Leaves Eno | QUANTITY 2 cups, with the green husk 1 tsp 1 tsp to taste to taste 1/2 cup, to garnish 3 - 4 sachets, non - flavoured |
RECIPE
Soak the moong dal for atleast 6-8 hours.
Without using any water, roughly grind the moong. Add salt, ginger and green chilli pastes and stir well.
Have the boiler ready, and remove the required amount of ground moong dal in a separate bowl.
Add 3/4th spoon of eno (non-flavoured) to this.
Still well, pour it in the steaming dish. Garnish with pepper powder or chopped coriander, and steam for 10 – 12 minutes.
Allow to cool, cut into cubes and its ready to be feasted on!
P.S. This tastes best with coconut-ground nut chutney.
