Makes a fantastic meal, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
There are a lot of variation to this, and every household has their own recipe, but the one I love the most is the simplest recipe that one of my Punjabi flat-mates used to make.

INGREDIENTS Potatoes Coriander Leaves Green Chilly Garlic Paste OR Garlic Cloves Aamchur Powder Jeera Powder Cumin Powder Salt Wheat Flour Maida Oil | QUANTITY 250 - 300 gms 1 cup, chopped 1, chopped 1/2 tsp 1 - 2 cloves 1/2 tsp 1 tsp 1 tsp to taste 200 gms 50 gms to bake |
RECIPE
Make a soft dough with the wheat flour and maida, and set aside for atleast 2 - 3 hours.
Boil the potatoes, allow to cool. Peel, mash and set aside.
Wash the coriander leaves and green chilli. Chop them finely, and add to the mashed potatoes.
Add all the remaining dry masala and garlic paste and mix well.
Take a hand full of the kneaded dough and roll out into a small roti.
Place the filling in the centre, and pull together all the ends and press them over the filling.
Roll out completely using flour, if needed.
Bake well on both sides using oil.
Best served with curd, a layer of amul butter and mint chutney!
