The most common topic for purposeful jesting between my brother-in-law and my sister is if she can really cook or not! It's amazingly hilarious for by-standers!
In spite of surviving and thriving on her cooking for about 11 years now (that's how long they have been married), he still doubts her skills in the kitchen. Which turns out great for me, as she ends up inventing new dishes, and I get all the recipes!
Here's one of her inventions, and trust me, its as good as any bbq chicken could taste!

PREP TIME MARINATION TOTAL TIME SERVINGS | 10 - 15 Minutes 6 - 8 Hours 20 - 25 Minutes 2 Portions |
INGREDIENTS Chicken Oil Ajwain Jeera Turmeric powder Red Chilli Powder Ginger - Garlic Paste Lemon Juice Salt | QUANTITY 500 gms, on the bone / boneless 2.5 tbsp 1.5 tbsp, roasted and powdered 2 tbsp, roasted and powdered 1/2 tsp 1 tsp (or more if you want it spicy) 1.5 tbsp 2 tbsp to taste |
RECIPE
Clean, wash and drain the chicken. Make a few slits on all the pieces.
Roast the ajwain and cumin seeds, make a fine powder.
Add all the other ingredients in the mixer, and grind well.
Add the marinade to the chicken pieces, mix well, and allow to marinate for atleast 6-8 hours.
The chicken can be cooked on a grill or a pan.
P.S. Goes best with sliced onions, lemon and a nice chilled beer :)
