The real taste and flavour is enhanced when the green chillies and the garlic are ground to a rough paste on paata - varvanta; (similar to a mortar & pestle, but not in the shape of a bowl, instead a large flat stone as a base and an oval, sausage type stone to grind the ingredients into a paste).

INGREDIENTS Green Chillies Garlic Peanuts Oil Cumin Seeds Hing Salt | QUANTITY 50 gms 1 pod 2 - 3 tbsp, roasted, roughly ground 1 tbsp 1 tsp 1/2 tsp to taste |
RECIPE
Roughly mash the green chillies and garlic, or grind them together in a mixer. Roughly grind the peanuts too.
Heat oil, add the cumin seeds and hing. Then add the roughly ground green chillies - garlic.
Cook them for 2-3 minutes. Add the peanuts and cook for another 2-3 minutes and add salt.
