RECIPE
Wash and string the beans on both ends. That can be done with a knife or like stringing french beans.
Separate the two parts of the beans and de-seed them. If they are too big, cut them into smaller chunks.
Peel and cut the potatoes into wedges.
Heat oil in a kadai and add the mustard seeds. Once they start spluttering, add hing and then turmeric powder.
Add the potato wedges to the kadai and stir well. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, or till they are half cooked.
In the mean while, prepare the masala. You need, finely grated coconut, finely chopped coriander leaves, cumin powder, red chilli powder, salt, hing and powdered sugar.
Mix the masala well. If the sabji seems a bit dry, sprinkle some water.
